The Prague restaurant, this real jewel of the Exhibition Centre in Kiev, has recently got a new lease of life. Thanks to the careful restorer, who saved the beauty of the building and refreshed the faded colours, the restaurant now reveals its unique beauty. The establishment, which was built more than 50 years ago, has acquired a classical interior in a modern interpretation. It is adorned with antique vases, lusters and floor lamps of extraordinary beauty. However, all this magnificence is very cosy and welcoming. The window sills and the backs of sofas are decorated with dozing brass cats. The halls and rooms of the Prague are full of plants, bookcases and lithographs. All this design fills the place with serenity and calm.

The cuisine of the Prague restaurant is also a mix of tradition and modernity. Chef Vitaly Poremsky prefers to keep to popular gastronomy which would be in harmony with a leisurely holiday in the open. The menu offers a selection of popular Italian, eastern and Slavic dishes that combine traditions of home-made food and the elegance of restaurant dish serving. The main emphasis is on meat in its various interpretations. Steaks from U.S. beef, veal on the bone, guinea fowl, chicken French, and yet a lot of incredibly tasty dishes are prepared in a Spanish wood-burning stove - josper. Such premium-class specialized equipment helps to get the best taste of food.

As it is characteristic of a mansion, Prague is big and diverse. The main hall, Living Room, looks impressive with its graceful curves of arches, a colonnade with capitals, high ceilings and windows. The second floor accommodates a cozy Mirror Room (10-12 seats), whose remarkable feature is a mirror in a gilded frame. The Library Hall is a room in an "intellectual" style (capacity up to 25 people). There are three small rooms for 6-7 people on the first floor: the minimalist Study, lively and colorful Flower Room and the Pomegranate Room filled with vases of fresh southern fruit.

When you are going up the broad marble steps to the second floor, you feel like in an embrace of imperishable beauty but when you take a closer look, you understand that this beauty is very functional. If necessary, the sliding glass doors can be removed and the main hall can be transformed in an open terrace where guests can enjoy fresh forest air. The towering wrought-iron balcony in the Living Room is easily transformed into a stage, from which acoustics live music fills the whole room with rich sounds.

At end of the building there is a gallery-type veranda. It’s a light conservatory which makes a wonderful place for any fashion-event on special occasions. The Prague is equipped with modern audio and video systems, children's room, a huge parking lot for 70 cars. The total size of the area, its distance from residential areas and the freshness of the surrounding parkland provide almost unlimited opportunities for banquets. A sophisticated buffet or a business presentation, a casual meeting or a wedding reception can be equally successfully held here.

The Prague is a very romantic place. A lake with a couple of white swans, a well-maintained tree-lined alley with a succession of graceful street lamps, a lot of balconies and summer terraces offer a sweet feeling of boundless freedom. The forest air relieves stress and helps to get a new look at life. After a visit here you can only say “What a wonderful world!”
