Pantagruel

In Kiev each restaurant is unique in its own way, but the Pantagruel osteria is really special.

At least because of its age. The restaurant is about 10 years old – it is one of the patriarchs among Kiev restaurants. The age affected the osteria as it affects noble wines – excessive roughness vanished, the taste became richer.

One more special feature. Italian cuisine at the Pantagruel is really Italian. And it is not so much because of Chef Konstantino's nationality, as the experience and organization of the cooking process. However, 'process' is a too dry word and it does not fit in here, we'd rather use 'creativity', 'inspiration', 'harmony' – these are the features of real Italian cuisine. What else can we add, if even local Italians come to the Pantagruel to have a tasty meal 'like at home'.

And, finally, the wine list. It's the best wine list in Ukraine. And the main thing is not the quantity of positions, but the selection made by professionals. To familiarize the guests with Italian wines, the restaurant administration holds theme festivals. During a week the guests can taste aristocratic wines without paying a thousand grivnas for the whole bottle. Some guests regularly visit tagliatelle 'a la Konstantino' – Chef's best Speciality. On the whole, pasta is what the restaurant is proud of.

If you think that pasta is just macaroni, you will change your opinion after a visit to Pantagruel. The osteria serves more than 20 variants of this dish, 9 of them are 'home pasta', whose recipes are kept secret. Besides pasta there are many other various viands.
